There are a few companies which provide cruises on Bastille day for fireworks. This particular cruise left and returned from a port that was just a 10 minute walk from our hotel (St James Albany) so it seemed the best choice for walking back so late at night. We booked through ParisCity Vision. There were two boats that went out with this tour on Bastille day as it's a very popular way to see the fireworks. The first was a big glass ceiling boat which we didn't get and a smaller one which we did go on. Every table had a window seat. The meal was excellent with choice of entree but there is a surcharge for the steak. Bottle of champagne was included in our package. While dining, we cruised up the river and back to the Eiffel Tower just in time for the fireworks. Our captain positioned the boat perfectly so we looked straight at the tower from the outside deck where most of the passengers gathered. It was truly magical. Fireworks lasted about half hour. Then we all went back inside for dessert and short cruise. We were back at port around 11:45 and in our hotel just after midnight. The kids say this was one of the best memories of our 3 week holiday in Europe. Loved it.
